Chapter 105: A Ghost with a Dream

Earl was floating in space. He was sure of it, while he felt himself weightless, to be certain that he was dead. He saw the same laboratory where he worked for a very long time, and the bed from where he was killed. He was certain that he died. But why is he here? But he answered his own question. He was a ghost now.

He floated near the laboratory equipment, eager to know what is happening in Fort Velocity. He was so sure something is kept from other scientists working here and everything is a grand conspiracy with a specific goal in mind. But what was it?

As he was investigating, searching for answers to his question, he saw a ball of light near a centrifuge. The light was so attractive, so magnificent, that he was drawn to it. He floated to its direction, not knowing of its dangers.

"You have great dreams," a voice told him. It was coming from the ball of light. "A dream gives us motivation to do what we need to do. Dreams are a source of energy."

"Yes, it is a source of energy," Earl said, apparently hypnotized. "I must touch the light properly."

"Come, and be energized," the voice said again, taunting him.

"I must go," Earl responded.

"You cooperate just fine," the voice is now excited.

"I must cooperate," Earl said. He was in grave danger.

"Touch me now."
