Chapter 102: The Blacksmith
It is now a place of ruins, although not long ago, it was the golden age of trade. The Neyorks command this place with great precision, where they mine and form the daggers with devotion and craftsmanship. Truly, it was the peak of the See of Colors, and virtually nothing can stop their influence in all places.
But again, it was told over and over, beyond the glory, the prosperity, and ultimate power, it comes with a price. Darkness is everywhere because the light is slowly dimming. It is our hearts that burn when evil casts a shadow on the truth, and often times, our hearts fail to shine brighter. Doubt truly hinders the flame inside us, and a little more courage will come a long way.
What become of glory, the shadow quickly consumed. Power poisoned their thinking into failing to see what needs to be done further. Winning deceives us into thinking that failure is not an option.
Evil. It is like a creeping monster. It denotes fear. It breeds cowardice. It corrupts the mind, and it splits the soul into pieces.
The darkness cannot simply driven away by the same darkness. But light is so rare at that time, and they all know their hearts were changed by glory. It was a costly mistake. Greed is the greatest evil in itself.
But the Blacksmith is destined to rise again. They know their time will come. This metallurgical plant is not a thing of the past, but for its past to help it function again. The lessons of the darkness cannot be simply put away. Failure had the door opened for redemption. Nobody can do it but their collective hope. The Blacksmith's value simply cannot be diminished by their past, but the past builds its present. A redemptive mission simply means to have faith, to have hope for the future. A time will come for everything, and not all can simply be lost.
