Chapter Forty Eight: Imagination and Creativity
The power of words has long been the source of strength among the literary community. These words have the exact power of imagination, the pinnacle of magic that has long developed the See of Old. Because of its significance, as one written in graffiti or as it was spoken, the Book of Chants have evolved into a thick volume of standard spells.
The Chants themselves are a marvel to behold and a thing to be admired. Its power manifests as differently as among the population, as it was before and dependent on someone's imagination and creativity, but later it became a tool of suppression and social injustice.
The Elites, as they are called, have mastered the magical twigs, as well as commanding words from their minds into effecting how they say their Chants. They have become more dominant in everyday affairs, and they continuously honed their skills, so that the Bishop of Old has summoned some of them as Cardinals into a Consistory. The most prominent of them has compiled the Book into a single, authoritative volume.
When consistories meet, more Chants have entered the Book. They have compiled it in such a way to share what they know, and further glorify their minds. Important imaginations have been written into the Chants that helped shaped their own brand of magic.
The Weaklings, as the other segment of the population is called, has decided to trust the See on many occasions. They too have their own source of power, they have creativity, in that they command weapons from written parchments out of their own hands. As the Elite and Weaklings came together, they have forged a stronger society.
The See of Old has become a force to behold, and an important point of trade and magic.
