Chapter 190: What Lies Ahead?

Is it a secret door? A portal to a parallel universe? Or just a complicated problem set of quantum physics?

The Destiny Commission is deep at work, trying to understand the complexities behind the latest excavations of a dinosaur fossil, made by Harvard professors under the auspices of a federal grant. These latest findings complicate matters even more, and their recent working hypothesis is set to collapse due to these reports. They must find a way to correct their theorems once Congress resumes its session, but everything is so bleak at the moment. They must find the solution to this mathematical problem at once.

The elite physicists working on this scientific inquiry lies in determining the metaphysical elements of time and space, as if redefining atoms and molecular formations with respect to time. Now, they are sure that technology existed before, so the possibility of time travel is highly probable.

But their early progress has been hindered by the Theory of Relativity. Time works with respect to space, and the theorem, once confirmed to be true, will completely disprove Newtonian mechanics. But Newton's mechanics have worked throughout the years, and Relativity only expanded its definition of an object "at rest."

Now, they must confront the realities of the Law of Inertia with respect to time, space, and relativity, and so far, none of the experiments have gone through the standards of their hypothesis. Everyone is confused, and nobody knows exactly what is going on. But progress is progress, and a new budget Congressional hearings might turn out really ugly as things go forward, but they have no other choice but to heed politics and hope from there.

They must find a way to travel back in time. And sooner.
