Chapter 115: The Five Houses

Anyone who have known Burnhall University so well would be very acquinted with its rich history, and the glorious traditions that trancends the test of time. Part of it has been marked by excellence in their respective service branches, but also, most of the student life has anchored on the fraternal bond of the Houses into a coherent academic society that molded its alumni into chivalrous servant Angels, outside of its august halls.

The center of it all are the five Houses, each as unique as its several residents. The first House, which is considered the most prestigious, is the Saints Hall, whose patron St Joseph, has led countless of alumni to seek glory, grace, humility, and never ending courage to defeat the enemies in its most known battle formation that no other House would ever dare to contradict.

The second House, called the Northwest House, is cradled by the artistic inclinations of its residents, each of whom are equally dedicated into honing their skills, all for the glory of Heaven. This reputation has been derived from the majestic interior design of their House, and has been named to be the epitome of Heaven by the way their hall has been built and architecturally designed.

The third House, called the Wings & Halo, is located at the heart of the University. This House is the lesser known of all the five Houses, although its residents are full of students with a reputation for their brawn. Being the most athletic, it has served to be the cradle of pride for the University in numerous duels ever witnessed, and the odds are not expected to be challenged anywhere soon.

The fourth House, called the House of Peace, is filled with intelligent residents, all of whom are passionate about their calling. Recognizing the importance of devotion, this House has excelled in everything academic, in all things with substance and physical entities. They are known to be expert orators, and their prose and lyrics are known to be above head and shoulders from the rest of the competition..

The last House, the most coveted of them all, is called the Cross Hall. Cross Hall residents are known to be expert sword-wielding students who are the envy of everyone. Admission to Cross Hall is very competitive, and only the best and the brightest get the privilege to enter. Aside from their Orchestra Baton, the Crentons, as they are fondly called, carry their swords as a symbolic gesture and in honor to the King of Kings, as well as being heavily trained to the subtle art of swordsmanship.

Together, these five Houses make up the fraternal bond that bind the students together, each of whom are trying to live up to the motto, Burning with Holiness, where the name Burnhall originated.
