Chapter Eighty Two: Parchments
Norbert was not sure if the time is proper, or if it is already safe. The creatures are a concern, and a lot is riding on it. No one is certain if the Agreement has been read, or if the ghosts will react to the next move to fulfill this part of the plan they have crafted long ago. The fight for humanity is a hard struggle, and a lot is at stake for it.
Whether the weapons will regain its power is still a question, a question so profoundly written in the Agreement. Will the neurons cooperate? Will they be able to transmit their imagination to power the weapons?
Norbert is also worried about the path this will take. The road to the Paper Mill has been abandoned long ago, and no one has any idea how to maneuver their way to get there. The Agreement is important to power it, so that the parchments would be made and begin their cause.
But the Dwarves have to be careful, too, as they hold a valid treaty with the Scientific Council. They do not want to start a war prematurely, and not all Dwarves wanted to help the Outcasts, anyway. The truth is very hard to defend, but someone has to do it. They need to extend help whenever possible, whether it is popular or not.
As Chief of the Dwarves, now is a crucial decision to make, as he is faced with so much risks and danger. The parchments have played an important role in this unavoidable civil war, and the Scientific Council simply cannot get away with it.
No, Norbert thought. They have to face the music. Justice will be served.
