Chapter Eighty Three: The City Inside the Dome

The Renaissance Society is a glorious city in its own right, built with the hands of the great architects and builders. Its beauty surpasses the architectural wonders known in the See of Old, most notably are the baroque styles and the skycrappers that adorn its gates, and its main arteries. Truly, it is a city within a city.

The most prominent of such edifices is the Clock Horn, the tower containing the mechanical clock at its center, the highest of all of its structures. Close to it was the Music Hall that is now known as the Economics Institute, and behind that are the main highways that connect the city center to the government structures.

From the Tower of Taxonomy is the nearby Medical Commission, which is just a few blocks away. Then, from Molecule Avenue going further south, is the Museum of Nature. After that, a few meters away is the Assembly Hall, where the legislators meet. Then westward are the parks, and the magical forests that guards part of the border dome.

At the Botany Highway, a Secret Directorate Truck was traversing the road at full speed. Inside it were materials from the Industrial Secrets, on its way to Fort Velocity. Its driver was unaware of the unseen creatures pursuing the truck, flying above it with such stealth and skill. As the truck reduces speed in preparation to turn to Exit 52, the creatures suddenly attack the driver from the left window.

Within minutes, the truck was on fire, and the driver was dead.
