Chapter Seventy Six: The Time Traveller
The Historian sensed that she is no longer alone. And true enough, as she looked behind her, she has seen the time traveller.
"Have you found him? Have you found Gapsworth?" said the Time Traveller in greeting. She can see his shock wave pistol cradled on his right hip, and he is still the most handsome man she has ever seen.
"No. It seems that Gapsworth is not a real person. I have reason to believe that he is a fictional character."
"A fictional character?" he asked. "But how is that possible? Ezra Dunster has no power to do this."
"This is also my worry," the Historian said with sorrow in her voice. "This is very unfortunate if Ezra was also hiding from us."
The Time Traveller shook his head. "But he can't hide anything from us! The Scientific Council is on its way in repeating the mistakes of the past. How can he put so much mystery into it? Time is running out!"
"Whatever he was up to," she said, "the historical records will tell us. I am sure everything he has made will lead us to the Physical Clock. And then we can match the perfect order's weapons. We can fight them then."
"I did not defected for this," the Time Traveller said. "I have put everything on the line just to experience love. And I am not going back there."
