Chapter 213: Historical Revisionism
A senior official of the Department of Hope was looking at the Transcripts of the Future, almost certain that it has been tampered with. The scenes they were trying to retrieve from the events to come does not make sense, and the resulting codes were too worrying to proceed any further. Today, he decided to speak to a colleague as to what action to take next.
"These are definitely tampered," he stated to her with a tone of frustration. "I can already tell from this transcript this was all made up."
"That's what I've thought" she said almost automatically. "Did you try running it again?" Her tone was definite but still skeptical.
"I did," he told her. "It gives different accounts of what has happened in that point in time. It seems as if there is a deliberate attempt to revise history so that a lot of things will be hidden in the years to come."
"Like what? Give me specifics," his colleague finally said. She read the different transcripts with a grain of salt.
"Three US Presidents were assassinated in three different time frames, but it is always the same person who shows up. We have launched a campaign to save President John F. Kennedy from death and the Destiny Commission has given us specific time frames to have this event seen and the emergency operation to be all planned out."
"And?"
He nodded. "And now he disappeared. Everything has changed as if history has been re-written. But I think there is one more problem other than the president's assassination that we need to be more concerned about."
She sensed the danger already, and worry immediately covered her face; she cannot conceal her concern.
"What more?"
"The Destiny Commission is in danger."
