Chapter 212: Service Design
The broad field of Alchemy was still a mystery and bewilderment at that time, and its methods and practices are uncommon and unpopular among the many universes, parallel or within the certain boundaries of the worlds and hidden places. Alchemists were scarce, and whenever one luckily meets someone along the way, it is almost certain that elixir concoctions will be discussed as a matter of business.
These elixirs are unknown substances that are not endorsed by the Order of the Metaphysicians, which means that its efficacy was not thoroughly studied. What was worse was throughout the recorded history, elixirs have been found to be dangerous, excessively potent, and venomous.
But still, Alchemists still thrived, although they are very careful not to be exposed by their work themselves, for fear that they may be sentenced and hanged to death. Their elixirs have eventually been banned by law, both by scientific and literary communities across the several Sees of the Imperial Synod.
However, despite numerous safety measures, an accident was waiting to happen. In spite of consistent efforts to prevent any more mishaps related to the evil practice of Alchemy, the elixirs have found its way to contaminate the Book of Arguments where the dangerous rhetoric was quietly contained. No one has ever imagined that the poisonous content of its words will seep through the creatures, a moment in time that will soon destroy the Synodality and its affiliated societies.
So, it was true. He released the dangerous rhetoric. He contaminated the creatures. He used Alchemy to finally do it. He did it all too well. But he was not acting alone. Never.
Someone from the future was controlling the Anti-Plagiarist Jericho Steam.
