Chapter 211: A Fallen Fellow
He has no idea how it happened, but it did. Everyone he knew died, he's quite aware; indeed, he has shamelessly betrayed the Fellowship, as well as the Nodal Guards. The machine learning has finally altered the intelligence of the Cyborgs, while the Fellowship is away, busy debating a subject of pact in a useless meeting far, far away.
He dropped from a dimension somewhere, feeling exhausted and thirsty. He lost the physical clock in eternity, and he even did not know in which direction it went after it escaped his grasp. Then he felt as if he was helplessly dying. He is gasping for air, urgently, as the guilt keeps on creeping all over him. There is absolutely nothing he can do for now. What has been done is done and over with; it is finished.
Yes. All of them is dead.
How he has come into this state is perflexing even to his own self, and he keeps on trying to forget everything to quell his guilty feeling, but he could not. He knew the creatures are all over him, which makes him invincible and immortal. But everything comes with a price. He must find a way to free his soul from this engulfing guilt, and he needs a plan.
He opened his right hand to reveal the Golden Leaf. This leaf is the key card to the Tower of the See of Old, which reveals the ancient power that controls everything in this dimension. He must put it in a safe place, for the future to find. He must not find it.
He tried to stand up, although his knees are weak. As soon as he's standing, he surveyed the area. It seems he was in a barren land, but he knows better. He was just in a veil, a middle dimension invented by the Boondocks Scientific Trust to strengthen the critical firewalls.
He started to walk slowly, although weakened by the time travel. He has no idea where in history he managed to land in. In a moment, he will find out as he plans his escape from the veil.
