Chapter 155: Literary Intent
Is it destiny or fate? Predestination or an unknown journey?
He knows that as a Proctor, he has the responsibility of upholding the Manifesto, a set of rules to which Literary Members must adhere. It includes the belief to the fates, a literary intent of every narrative, the moral of the story that is included in every page of writing. This is what the Scientific Council wanted to suppress, and this is what they have lost during the last days.
The Dangerous Rhetoric might have hurt them in some way, actually almost in every way, that what was actually the fates foretell of the future, was quickly corrupted by a rhetoric too fragile to contain, so that every wrong fantasy was given life to wreck havoc within the good, to eventually ruin the morals they have tried so desperately to defend.
He looked at his mystical ring as he pondered on this, and decided not to give up hope. The fates can be saved by the fulfillment of the Agreement, and everyone will eventually find their way home.
Nobody can dispute that. No, not at all. He just needs to believe it with all of his heart.
This is how they will win this war: they will rise from all the dangers, contain the worst part of them, defeat their own demons, and write a good, positive rhetoric.
There is no other way to triumph other than that.
