Chapter 150: Burn Hall

It is not so much a tradition for the Board of Governors to be hosted by the Regent of the University, but this is a year of fruition for the academic staff that has performed so great after the students bounced back from years of dismal performance that everything needs to be celebrated with excesses, flair, and strict formality.

The Burn Hall is decorated for the occasion, of course, with so much extravagance that it is overwhelmingly beautiful and obviously done with a lot of sophistication. The students saw many celebrations and triumph held at this august hall, but not of this magnitude. This event will be remembered by every class attending, and how lucky they are to witness such an event.

The Board of Governors seems to be impressed by all the aesthetics, with the pretentious but expensive taste of the show, but they will not probably agree with everything the Regent has done. A diversion from all the deliberations of the Board of Governors regarding the Regent's report on the diminishing excellence that has long been exhibited by their students in light of academic records and achievements has since been adhering to the dubious part of this event, obviously regarded as inclusive of the efforts of the Regent's bid for a new term.

The Regent claims that the celebration is also partly due for the President of the Board of Governors who have succeeded again in steering the financial health of the University while it struggles on many occasions in the past, so a fitting tribute is in order, which the administration has never done to accept from the performance of past Presidents.

Now, as the President was about to make his speech, a bolt of lightning struck him while standing behind the rostrum, and he was instantaneously dead. Everyone, professors, non-academic staff, and including the students, have wielded their Orchestra Baton and Conductor's Baton, ready to defend themselves.

Songs were fired everywhere, and the notes exploded in all directions.

As soon as they were certain that the attack was no more, the Regent looked closely at the President's body. A piece of parchment was found on the President's chest with the message:

NO ONE WILL BE SPARED

It was written in the blood of a unicorn.
