Chapter 152: In the Middle of the Story

Gapsworth, as he is fondly called, is an otter "who acts like a kid," as someone who knows him too well might suggest. But at other times, he is considered a dwarf, since his mannerisms mimic those who are considered as one, and his characteristics are undeniably the same copy as them. He is an otter, and he is also a dwarf, indeed. There is no mistaking this glaring fact.

One day, he took upon himself the revealing of his faithful desire to find the source of a power he was quite acquainted with by Ezra Dunster; something that is the source of many desires, as well as sacrifices, and chivalrous heroism. It was still unknown to all, a strength that is usually classified by folklore and mythology as a thing to wrestle with, to fight for in the face of ferocious uncertainty. A truly wonderful, yet dangerous thing. So potent and true.

Then he used everything his freedom will allow to search for this thing called love. He wanted to search its source, but nothing more was written about it in literature, except that it comes from him who took the form of a human being. "To be human is to love," he remembers what Ezra Dunster once said. Humanity and love being inseparable is nothing far from the truth.

But humanity once failed, and it fell from the pedestal of grace. Humanity has since been corrupted by what is wrong, instead of remaining faithful to what was right. For in a perfect world, nothing wrong should subsist, and only the good and godly must flourish.

Now, as he was trapped in the pages of this book, which was told in a story that is both confusing and loaded with full mystery, Gapsworth is travelling neither here nor there. In space, he is floating; in this glorious book, he is metaphysically present. He is moving in all directions. He is like time in itself, and Ezra Dunster helped him immensely to become possible in this state. The search for love is far from over. It has only just begun.

Gapsworth knows what is at stake, and he must hurry. For love is revealed through one person only, he whose name is above all names. The one where salvation is present, and love overflows.
