Chapter 126: Big, Naughty Monsters
Every myth and folklore has its own shortcomings, and a lot of exaggeration. In fact, this attribute is what makes them readable and believable, if not for the silly inclinations of persons who believe in the power of literature.
As with all folklores and traditions, myths are handed down from generation to generation, albeit no one bothers to check the veracity of such account or story, because there is simply no way to do as such. Each are taken as biblical truth, and no one dares question the integrity of its playful, seemingly factual narration.
The Massachu is said to be heavily guarded, not only in the inside where the Ghosts put up the line of defense, but also on the outside of the Department's Palace. The Canonical Chambers are said to be impenetrable, because its walls deflect the ball of light that comes from the crystal of the Massachu.
Outside of the Department lies the most montrous creatures ever seen. They are monsters, scary and enormous, almost like the dangerous lizards, but much bigger and naughty. These monsters are carnivorous, very perilous if one might encounter them by accident, but no one dares to try, even in this scary folklore. How anyone can survive their attacks is a big question still.
This mystery is what drives the different motivations of this story, and a lot is at stake, especially the search for glory and victory. A power struggle that will determine not only the diverse fates of anyone who might dare to join and relish, but the ill fate of others, which is far more important than victory itself. This is a search for the vanishing humanity of book characters everywhere.
And in this way, myths and folklores are in grave danger of vanishing from our collective thoughts, too.
It is only a matter of time.
