Chapter Thirteen: Window to the Soul
She was literally in the past. She was travelling from the past. Whatever it was, she was saved from the electrocution of the evil scientists. Now she sees nothing but lightning-like forces around her as she was travelling in space and time.
Her name is Ruth, and she has the greatest singing voice you'll ever hear. It was the darkest moment she'll ever remember as the City opted to kill their collective humanity, and everything that serves as a window to the soul.
She has no idea where she was headed or who prompted it. But after a while, she sees music. She literally have seen music. But she cannot describe it. She thought she was just seeing space and time, but now she saw music in its rare form.
She suddenly stopped, and now she was hanging in space. Time has abruptly stopped, and then a voice came through.
"Who are you?"
The voice was singing. It was like listening to a musical. She tried to respond but her voice just couldn't come out.
"Are you someone who was travelling long ago... in a far place known to none?"
The voice was so beautiful it was the paramount of singing. It was the most satisfying voice she has ever heard. It felt really good. She was mesmerized by it, more than she has ever heard, and she felt very ecstatic.
"Have you ever seen the window to your soul?"
