Chapter Sixteen: Norbert
Brent knew what to do and what to say at the appropriate time. He is a very skilled warrior and what a time to be. He must follow a path no one has ever travelled before. To see what is in there. To explore what lies in the realm of courage, strength, and determination.
The dwarf's name is Norbert, and he is the Chieftain of the Magical Forests. He ruled for a very long time and he earned the trust of the Scientific Council. For a while, these trees were a witness to a time of peace, but mostly were a testament to violence and endless wars that gone wrong. So wrong. Will wars ever solve anything?
The Dwarf Restoration Movement became a force some years ago, but it was immediately suppressed. It was agreed that the Literary Committee should fight their own wars, to defend their own self-determination. The movement persisted even though it was declared illegal, but such move resulted into the division of the magical forests. All of a sudden, the Dwarves were sucked into a war they never wanted.
When war broke up, the Dwarves Restoration Movement quickly gained ground to the west of the Magical Forests where they helped literary cause. Most of them used their cunning to try to defeat the Scientific Council, but as powerful they were, the courageous dwarves were defeated.
The Chieftain stepped in as the war has been decided, and told the Council that the Movement was illegal. Ever since the Treaty was signed, the border of the Magical Forests has been drawn and some of the dwarves have been declared outcasts, together with other mythical creatures they once called brothers.
And now, Norbert must make a defining decision that will help shape the future.
