Chapter Nine: The Problems of the Reader
She was destined to be, as it has always been, a true pillar of freedom and creativity, of manners, of morals, of truth and reality, of metaphysical inquiry. She was such a strong reader. She was an amazement for everyone. She has that strong ties with everything that has been said or written, and those intricate weavings of the ingenious minds. But tonight, she have failed, not only herself, but a lot of people. The Agreement is doomed to fail.
Sarah keeps remembering the events that transpired that night, when the Agreement was signed, but she couldn't see quite clearly to the point that her comprehension looks bleak and darkened. Her memory is blocked by an unknown reason, and this has never happened to her before. Ever.
She looked at the news from the folded newspapers one more time, and still couldn't process it. What is the news trying to say? Which part of the Agreement was it? Can they still fulfill what it is saying? She started to blame herself.
She put the newspapers on top of the table and rose from where she was sitting, and held the Diary in her hands. It is still glowing. It means something must be done. But what is it? She's losing patience.
The time has come for humanity to remember his past, and this Diary is trying to say it to her. But she couldn't process it. The glow reminded her of how big the stakes are. And she is determined to fulfill the Agreement. No matter the cost. No matter what it takes. Determination is a powerful ally.
The glow is the light, and she will discover it soon.
