Chapter 242: Sound Waves
Inevitably, the plot thickens as the time goes by. As substances travel through space in a given time, the important events unfold, the most noble goals are reached, the necessary rights are defended, and life floats around in a metaphysical reason of necessity.
As much as goodness tend to overflow, evil also abound, and it also floats around. It is, in fact, capable of corrupting the good in everything, and the only thing needed in this process is a response to the stimulus called temptation.
Such elements describe the way how the Neyorks, Outcasts (or the Anti-Plagiarists) and the Illustrators (or the Proctors, who are the most capable kind) are being used as a pawn in this never-ending war of strategic movements. No matter how hard each of them declare a complete devotion to their existence and avert a possible clash of interests within the interest of some or the others, the most powerful elements within the universe seems to control the parallelism in these worlds, though they are never really apart.
And because of this, it is quite obvious that the Past has been the battleground of causes that aims to rectify the mistakes made, and rescue the thoughts that have been lost in space and time. Through the voidness, they look for the pieces that has been lost in their search for a brighter future ahead.
But the future did not turn out the way it was first envisioned. The wait for the end of the world never came (or is it?) that the preparation for the ultimate demise of the universe altered the way everybody thought, moved, and professed their faith.
In other words, the Neyorks, the Anti-Plariagists, and the Proctors are being controlled by a known force called the Sound Waves, almost like a remote control, but a lot better. As they move into the Past, they are waging a war that were never theirs, looking for some things they do not need, and fulfilling a mission of someone else's dream.
They are being brainwashed.
What this assertion needed is a proof, and nothing more. But perhaps the Anti-Plagiarists' fountain pens, the orbs of the Neyorks, or the Illustrators' mystical rings will provide a clue (or an evidence, if you must) about this supposed manipulation. And the answer will never surprise you.
It is due to the metallurgical elements of the gold mine.
Now, it is becoming clear and the theory is starting to make sense. But metals are useless on their own, of course. As the propensity of lead to turn into gold is very reliable, this mysterious activity needs a much complex process in a curious discipline known as Alchemy.
The way the Sound Waves attach permanently to the alchemical properties of their weapons of choice clearly points to a severely, deeper conflict within the plot of existence. And it is going to be ugly.
