Chapter 246: Reassurances

Lucifer was in deep thought as he calculates the most efficient way to move forward, quite annoyed at the slow progress of his plans. He took upon himself to monitor the situation from now on, and his impatience was growing more and more. He needed to confront what was holding them down, and then proceed with caution.

"Where is the real Ezra Dunster? The otter was already found, as well as his evil version that he shamelessly used to flee from us all. But regarding his own self, he vanished again. Why is it that Gapsworth already materialized, but there is no sign of this mischievous "good" Ezra?"

Lucifer emphasized the word good with a tone of contempt.

"He will eventually die, my dark Prince. He will never escape your far-reaching powers once you are seated in your rightful throne."

He smiled upon hearing the beautiful sound of that last comment. His trusted servant knows how to stroke his ego.

"I have confidence that this matter has already been conclusively decided at that exact moment when he decided to betray me. Nobody can escape my wrath, especially the betrayal he demonstrated to me that made the fools out of us all. I simlly cannot allow and let it pass. I will personally make assurances that the darkness will eventually consume him."

His trusted servant is a Sinister Agent by the name of Alastair Groom. He was well versed in the study of books and the criticisms of literature.

He acknowledged Lucifer's statement to be gospel truth. It is only a matter of time.

"He is more in danger travelling in the literature of the Three Tales of Old rather than facing adversaries here. Surely, he can suddenly die within those pages without any of us doing something or even making an effort. He is racing against death by now. Time is not on his side."

Lucifer knew all along that it is destined to happen, an appointed time, and he cannot be a little too anxious waiting for the momentous event to happen.

"I have complete confidence in you, Alastair. Soon enough, the Massachu will be mine once and for all."
