Chapter 128: The Treaty of Boondocks
The Time Traveller who goes by the name of Denver has arrived in the See of Boondocks, at a time when the See is at the peak of its glory. Several machineries greeted his return, as well as well-appointed streets and urban landscape. The city atop the mountain is undisputedly beautiful.
The Historian named Jacqueline also came from the future, and appeared standing next to Denver. Both of them refrained from attracting attention to themselves, and they know what is at stake. As long as the Physical Clock is still missing, they can only rely on the scientific regime's Time Machine without getting caught.
They went back in time for one purpose: to get Gapsworth at all costs. Finding him in this sea of people is going to be a challenge, not to mention that people of the future might recognize them as well. They need to tip toe their way into the city.
Denver moved first, going to a street not manned by many people. It was beautifully lined up with shops, in contrast to the machineries and factories to their left. Boondocks has flourished so much in this period of time, and from the history books, they knew pretty well how not to be detected.
Denver glanced at Jacqueline from behind. She nodded back, knowing what they needed to do.
Whether the Treaty of Boondocks is still hidden from the people or in the Museum is part of their problem. But it must be done now; there is simply no other option available. Its timely retrieval is absolutely important.
The parallel universe is waiting.
