Chapter Ninety Two: The Pirates of Space

Captain Frivolous of the glorious ship Plane Quarry was receiving his guest pirate on top of the deck, facing the sails that make the ship as magnificent as she was. The black space was calm, although with occasional roughness in this part of the sea. The wind was blowing in their favor. Everything is calm.

"About this latest loot of yours," began Captain Frivolous, "I find no use for this. What will I do with a leather-bound book? I have no habit of reading."

The pirate, who goes by the name of Trotts, pleaded for a reconsideration. "No, captain," he said looking patronizing, "this is more than a book. I swear, this book has magic!"

"Magic?" Captain Frivolous said with a laugh. "This book is?"

He took the book in his arms and read the title aloud. "The Book of Chants by Ezra Dunster. Chants? Who needed chants in this part of the world?"

"I promise this is worth it! Please, Captain! We found this floating around with great power. It was accompanied by a blinding light!"

"A blinding light?" He said. "Maybe this book has a sorcery in it. It might be cursed for all we know."

Trotts nodded vigorously. "We know this is not much, but we really need these provisions to survive for the weeklong journey ahead. Please take it on my account."

"I am very fond of you Trotts, you know that," the Captain said, studying him. "But this book is worthless and potentially cursed."

"Just take it, please, and I will repay you soon. I promise."

"Very well," Captain Frivolous said. "I will give you what you want. So far you have been a good debtor."
