Chapter Eighty Four: The Angel's Ambush

Angel Clementus appeared suddenly out of nowhere in the middle of the road, through a blinding light that pierced the darkness. The road is made of dirt, and it is obvious from the way it looks that it was abandoned long ago. This road is very important as it leads to the Gold Mines, and into the Paper Mill just outside of it. He has arrived just in time.

The Room Above has dispatched him in this road for a specific mission, to prevent the demons from blocking access to the Gold Mines or to prevent anybody from reaching the See of Colors. They have received intelligence information about plans for an attempted blockade in the area.

There was another blinding light beside him, and there appeared Angel Julius, another angel dispatched to assist in the mission. He looks very happy to be included in this mission, and he was happy to see Angel Clementus.

"Nice to see you, Clementus!" Greeted the newcomer, feeling joyous. "It's been a long time."

"Be quiet," says Angel Clementus, "I am hearing something."

Angel Julius suddenly became quiet, and they can hear some people coming. They retreated to the side of the road; as the people are coming near to where they are, they decided to make themselves invisible.

"Fidem!"

The people coming were two demons, who apparently are going towards the Gold Mines. They were patrolling the area, which is near their blockade, and they were scanning the area in case anybody was in the vicinity.

As they pass by, Angel Clementus was carefully listening to what they were saying. It seems like everything has been expected, and the physical clock is working in their favor.

When the demons were gone, he immediately turned to Angel Julius to act with haste. He was eavesdropping, too.

"We need to get going. The blockade is already in place."
