Chapter Thirty Eight: Music Hall

Not much has changed in the Music Hall, when the Economics Institute occupied it, save for some changes in interior architecture, although someone can argue that nothing has really changed. This very edifice existed a long time before the Renaissance Society, where the place of our story is set; indeed it was much further back than that.

A long time ago, when the See of Old captured and conquered everything to the west of the border dome, in this city where dreams were made and curiosity is satisfied. Those places hide their own secrets, some of them has never been discovered before. It is waiting for something to devour, something to be unearthed, whether happiness or misery. The Bishop of Old was known to be a dark wizard, and history is replete with so much evidence of its cruel treatment of the larger society.

As migration completely sweeps the land, the now Scientific City was cradled in the tomb of the First Friend, as a retaliation for all has been told in the Three Tales of Old. Some of the inhabitants in diaspora have journeyed on to explore even more, until after such settlement, and to the east of the border dome they journeyed where they later on established the See of Dunster.

But evil is for evil.

The Bishop of Old wanted everything in his power, so he lay siege on every land discovered and tried to suppress any society before the Seat of the See, simply because he did not want the See of Dunster to flourish. As documents are being burned, people are being slaughtered and every greed possible has emerged from where the fighting erupted.

It was the period of self-determination. The Music Hall stands proud today as a solemn witness to what has transpired. And the Agreement will recover it at all cost.
