Chapter Forty Three: Space and Time
Edgar, the first Taxonomist, looked at Kirkland or Kirk to his friends, the second Taxonomist. Kirk is still occupied by the Creature who is still in his head. By virtue, his head is still twitching to the right, eyes still red as blood, and everything seems, well, not quite right.
They drove away from where the "things" entered the dome, and Edgar is still afraid. He floored it away from the scene, but other than the instinct of running for their lives, he has noticed a lot of other things, too.
As the lapse of reality happened, there are several components of the work of the Physics Police he has noticed that actually unfold, so he secretly thanked himself for listening to the webinars of the Taxanomy Office. Sitting there wasn't just a chore, after all.
Edgar isn't an expert in Physics, but he definitely noticed that, at the moment of the incident, time and space were broken. He couldn't explain the phenomena that will be accepted by major theorists, but he felt it, and he usually trust his gut. There is something wrong with the time, and it caused a disruption in space.
He was still trembling as he drove away, not understanding what happened to Kirk or whether he will still be alive, or both of them will eventually be dead. What are those things with wings? And what symptoms is Kirk exhibiting?
But he will never give up. Pretty sure there are answers to this, Edgar thought to himself. Science can explain this.
