Chapter Thirty Seven: Ear Training
"I can see a... veil."
She was staring at it the whole time, limiting how she blinks her eye so that she won't be missing a thing. It's a white veil, she was very sure of that.
"That's a funny thing to describe music. Are you sure you are staring at music?" the voice laughed at her. "The past can sure bring back some weird memories."
Ruth tried to contain her feelings. Beyond the veil, she can see a boy she's usually seeing in her dreams. He was the most beautiful she has ever laid her eyes on.
"Beyond the veil," she said after a while, "I can see a boy."
"A boy?" the voice said, a tone of surprise in his tone, "Was he part of your life? Maybe in the past?"
She shrugged. "I actually do not know. But I can hear him as much as I can see him. He's very charming."
"Charming?" the voice laughed at her, "Are you a princess in your past?"
She laughed too, way harder than she intended. She knows that she's in love. And the voice knew it too.
"He's a pleasure in the ears, so I don't really mind listening to him."
The voice understood her. "We all have different music inside us."
