Chapter Seventeen: The Hypocritical Syndrome

He has felt it before, and now he is feeling it again. He thought he was cured, but he was so wrongfully mistaken. There are things in life that cannot be treated. After all, can you really separate yourself from your own humanity without having a cruel heart?

He stood from his chair, and rest his arms on his desk. He keep getting himself deep inhalation of air. It could be some other form of disease, but he cannot lie to himself. Not now that important matters are at stake. He has felt the attack of the hypocritical syndrome then and now it is clearly manifesting again.

He left his office hurriedly, to seek answers. He cannot compromise his secret. Not today. No.

"Where are you?"

He heard it. He was so sure of it. Was the hypocritical syndrome in its developed state? He cannot be sure of it. He looked at his hands with concern with his longing eyes. It was turning into blue.

He jumped into his car, and looked for his elixir. When he found his bag, he immediately searched for the tube, and then drank it without hesitation. He was hoping for the best, and then felt that it worked. He took a sigh of relief.

And now, he must go to someone in order to clear things up.
