Chapter 182: SONG 65 - The Advanced Complexities of the Song, Fidem
Here is a typical class at Burnhall University:
A Burnhall Junior, named Lowell, is quietly sitting at the far end corner of the classroom where the dreadful class was excruciatingly happening right before him, and the worst part of it all is that he has no idea what was going on. He knew very well how to summon the basic Fidem in his previous classes (where he got decent marks) but this knowledge, apparently, was not enough to understand everything in this present course, which are the complex applications of the Song Fidem, as understood in the basic context of all concepts relating to the Summoning Arts.
"Fidem, as you well know in prerequisite courses, can be applied in many scenarios that involve History of Thinking and the Summoning Arts," says the St Lorenzo Ruiz de Manila Professor of Songs. "It was developed like the mixing of three basic metaphysical substances into one coherent objective. As you can see, the formula for Objective is Faith plus the Propensity of Positive Thinking minus Negative Thoughts."
All the students were busy scribbling notes and mathematical formulas to remember what was being discussed. Many students would not even dare to think of failing this class just to retake it later on, because it is going to be very embarrassing. This course is very important in Dueling, which is the litmus test for any angel wanting to serve in the Legion of Angels.
"Now, the Objective as determined must be transcribed in the language of notes, without the actual recital of the Song. It is very important to conceal the notes of the Song to be conjured to surprise any opponent. For this purpose, we then find the formula to be the Song equal to Objective plus Damage/Healing to be Inflicted/Done over Whole Note minus the Rhythm."
