Chapter 262: The Two Orbs

In this story as narrated within the pages of this book, fire is recognized an all important element, both for its practical use, as a form of weaponry, or as the flame within that motivates hope and certain aspirations. Because of its vast significance, this fire has been considered to be manifested having the two distinct characteristics in the form of an orb.

First are the orbs of the Neyorks which adorned their fists as a glorious blue fire, where their main power comes from the fiery heart within, built in their inner desire to serve the main noble purpose of the common resolve for the sake of humanity. This fire is also used as a means for the Blacksmiths to service the manufacturing side of the material in the Gold Mines, to serve as motivation for those who are fighting for goodness, as well as the admirable kindness, and all the properties of the eternal flame that is inherent within the orb.

Second are the orbs of the hands that kill, the hands that are owned by the Demon followers of Lucufer the Devil; it was these disastrous fire that totally consumes the matter that it wanted to burn down, the flame that could hurt any form from which a soul exists, and the material things that are seen by the naked eye. These orbs encircle the hands of the Demons, and from which they draw their power and the excellent combat abilities.

Although these two orbs are different in their manifestation, these two flames are, nonetheless, essential in substance. The blue fire represents the goodness of a higher power that gives the flame its healing properties, while that destructive fiery orb was the result of its inherent corruption that started from the same Garden of Eden where the story and fall of the humankind has inconveniently started.

This mastery of the element (of fire) is important for the Demons to breach its miraculous properties by altering its alchemic composition, so that they will not be destroyed by it in hell, albeit the main purpose of this battle was to destroy that dimension from which their eternal punishment will be carried out by divine justice, more than by just altering its state of composition.

But to do this daunting task, they must first seek to study the elements of the blue fire, relate it to the destructive nature of their fiery orb, and ultimately, to use the blue orb to extinguish the fiery orbs' material composition by making themselves immune from its divine efficacy.

But anything that is eternal cannot simply be disregarded. And for that, Lucifer was looking for the relics of Adam and Eve. It was his suspicion that the grace that poured out from the Holy Cross benefited those that have lived before the Messiah's death and resurrection, which means that he can use this same grace to his advantage by anything that can be extracted from the said relics.

As the search continues in identifying the true relics, Lucifer himself was using his ability to smell the forbidden fruit from the bodily remains. There is no room for error in this main task so Lucifer is supervising the whole operation, and he is always on top of the situation.

When Lucifer needs to be elsewhere, his most trusted Demons are there to supervise, although there is no luck so far, and the Dark Prince is getting more and more impatient as time passes by, waiting so longer for any real result to finally surface.
