Chapter 161: Axel Bridge
Another Angel by the name of Quincy quickly teleported to a place that will be prominent to all those who have tried their very best to search for the Massachu. The quest for power starts here, as the legends quickly tell us, and a lot of books have been written to validate these claims. However, its historicity has been denied and no convincing proof has been exposed for a very long time. Archaeology has nothing good to say.
But, Quincy, of course, knows better. The folklore was not wrong, but it is extremely inaccurate. It leads people to believe that power is within their reach, but it is actually a trap that is waiting ahead. An ambush. The myths are sometimes made that way. It is one of the tragedies of literature; to poison the minds of many into believing a cause that is never true, and done for selfish ends.
But, isn't this exactly the way people travel towards power? To corrupt his mind with the promises of victory only to later on realize that the actual villain is inside him, all along? Except, that no one will admit it in the open.
That is very true. Really true.
And this very certain principle is present to where Quincy is now standing. All quests start with a decision to cross the road, or to meet the stream. Everyone must decide to get to the other side, to whatever their desires take them.
Literally, this is also true.
The search for the Massachu starts with crossing the Axel Bridge, to an endless, perilous journey that leads eventually to a wicked trap. And there is no turning back.
