Chapter Seventy Four: A Very Perilous Dream

Brent has seen this dream before, and he knows how it will terribly end. It is about the same girl with the same circumstances, and it is about how he will save her from her captors. He can clearly see the veil that separates them together. Truly, it is the same veil everytime.

He readied his fountain pen, ready to attack and pierce the veil. The captors have a pair of an inch horn over their foreheads. They too have a weapon. They readied their hands, palm up.

Brent does not know exactly who they were, or if they belong to the Scientific Community. But one thing is for sure, he senses something bad about their presence.

He attacked first, drawing four daggers out of his parchment. The Demons retaliated with an incantation. "Superbia!" It hit the four daggers out of target.

"Do not hurt him! I am the one you want. Let him go!" the girl said. She was beautiful as he always remember, and she is tied by a chain. He has absolutely no idea why they are holding her. The Demons smiled when the daggers fell to the ground.

This time he came swifter. He launched four pairs of daggers to pierce the veil again, and it came from all directions. But the Demons are quicker to react. They launched their incantation with the exact same precision.

"Superbia!"

The ball of black light collided with the daggers hastily, halting the daggers from reaching the veil. Again, it all fell to the ground.

He has no idea how to reach her, but the common resolve every single dream. He will come to rescue her. He will become her hero.

The dream continued throughout the night.
