Chapter Twenty Six: At the Border of the Magical Forest

Norbert looked at him with a hint of concern. Nobody should be seeing him talking to the Literary Committee, especially not at this time. They were banished a long time ago, for a good reason as the Scientific Council may claim. He shouldn't be at the border of the Magical Forest because of a law prohibiting it, as well.

And yet, he was there. He should be. The Agreement cannot be seen but it must happen. The Dwarves knew it very well, and this moment is just a matter of time. Today is that day.

"Have you seen the sign?" Norbert asked Brent. He was studying him for a moment to make sure the timing is perfect. "Are the creatures already here?"

Brent shook his head. "I have no idea." He honestly do not know and he knew this is not great news. Everything seems to be in place, but they are still waiting for the reading of the Agreement to be made.

"The Agreement has not been read?" Norbert said in surprise. "Then why did you summon me?"

Brent knew the timing was premature but he had to do it to make sure everybody is safe. "About the Outcasts," he said. "I want to know if their sactuary is still safe."

Norbert nod. "Of course. The place has always been safe."

Brent wanted to believe him, but he has something to show him. It's not good news. "Then how can you explain this?"

Norbert looked at it and his eyes suddenly become wide open.
