Chapter 235: A Letter on the Possibility of a Revolution

Dear Brethren,

As much as I do not want to reach you in an inappropriate time, I must write to you sincerely, and cautiously, about a stern warning about the present situation that threaten our peace, stability, and security. We must not be too complacent as to our own understanding, but to scrutinize every single word that is being used in this treaty negotiations.

It has come to my attention that the See of Dunster is under attack in secret, so that we must try to find the truth concealed and under the guise of a threat. There is no veracity put forward on the table, and this attemot to negotiate is doomed to fail.

Just as in my previous letters, where I warned you that our enemy is within, and not from without, the vapors of lies that seethe through in our souls are formidable and has the ability to destroy us. It must be addressed once and for all; otherwise death shall kill the happiness of our souls. We will die within.

We must, then, begin to recognize and act accordingly. There is no other choice. We are being manipulated secretively, and with so much efficacy and ease, that we might find ourselves to be too foolish as a civilization. We all might find ourselves dying inside, as a bitter consequence.

And so I implore your cooperation, dear brethren, to invoke the Imperial Synod and decide our fate while we still can, and protect our own intellect and conscience from being poisoned. I seek your help, like a father to a son, so that we must look into the window of our soul, and still be delighted on what we may find there.

I hope this letter awakens your sympathy and compassion as to our collective resolve to free us from the slavery of death and evil.

Yours truly,

(Sgd.) Ezra Dunster
