Chapter Sixty Five: The Dwarves Weren't Ready
"And how about the Dwarves?"
"What about them? They have no idea what is coming. They weren't ready."
"This has to work out as planned. We cannot afford any mistakes from now on. No one shall get near the gold mines. This has to be a perfect escape. A perfect revenge. Vengeance is near, and I can feel it."
"It will be a perfect escape."
"How many of these weapons are still in existence? We have banned them close enough to extinction, but not quite. This gross mistake shall not happen again, now that we have mastered time. We cannot wait any longer."
"A considerable number of weapons survived the banning, although more could be hidden somewhere. There is no way to know for certain."
"...."
"I don't want an estimate. Give me a number."
"We will work on it, but for now, the Dwarves must be deceived. Some of them have allied themselves to the Literary Committee and we can never tell where their loyalty is. And also, about the oxygen, we need the people to trust us. We need some air to breathe."
"To trust us? No. There should not even be a trace of doubt."
"Agreed. We are nearing to a major discovery of the optical illusions of the Dangerous Lizards. We must work double time. Triumph is almost at hand. I can taste it."
"How about the road to the See of Colors?"
"The road will be closed."
"How about the Winged Creatures?"
"The Creatures? They are so corrupted by now to be of any use to them. Everything will fall into pieces until the Renaissance is no more."
"The victory will be ours."
"Absolutely."
