Chapter Seven: A Curious Seat in the Scientific Assembly
"I am having the dreams. Like before."
The Assemblyman by the name of Jericho looked at his father with a stern look of worry in his face. He was obviously bothered by a long time now, and today is the only time he had the courage to tell anyone about it.
"I see," his father Riley nodded, there is fear in his eyes he cannot hide, and his voice is the sound of concern. "Nobody should know."
Jericho is a senior member of the Executive Committee and very close to the Speaker, and he needs to hide what others can't see. His dreams were blocking his sane mind. It is very important nobody should learn about the history of his family.
"I couldn't use the Quantum Rifles."
His father was shocked to learn this, and very scared. Their family has been hiding all this time by defecting to the sciences, but their genes are starting to betray them.
"How about the politicians? Do they know?"
"No," Jericho said. "At least for now. I do not know how long I can hide it."
His father shook his head. "I thought you already overcame this leaning by taking Economics? You already mastered the sciences, right?"
Jericho stood up from his seat. He seems confused. "I thought I did. But now I am not so sure. Visions start flooding in my mind, and I couldn't control it. My dreams are always been about the dwarves. It was gone before, but now it's coming back. I am very scared, with all the things happening lately."
His father Riley was afraid too. "Hold on until we find a way."
